well, as of friday we have two more full weeks in this house…provided everything works out. i've been packing all the small stuff and breakables this week, and next week will be more stuff packed. with every box packed i remember how much this house kicks ass, and how i'm gonna miss it. i'm also finding stuff from 3 years ago that i've never used because it was in the very back of a cabinet, or lurking in a crowded corner..amazing how much crap we have; i'm surprised i've kept the house as clean as i have with all this junk! good thing we're renting a large truck!
the home inspector that the buyers brought in earlier this week as a total jackass, he thinks he's the grand high poobah of home inspections, and he did a bangup job which included (but was not limited by) leaving the burners on the stove on and walking off, leaving the furnace door open (no suction = no blow = cold house), leaving the shower switch in the 'shower' position (so i got a cold and wet head when i went to take a bath the other night), making a big fuss about the cord-and-post electricity in the attic–but not even marking in his little book that our attic window has no glass, commenting that old and probably treated termite damage was "probably new" (we got a termite inspector in today, he says the home inspector was a quack; the damage was pretty old, and there were no signs of termites on the premise at all)..and when he came in to pick up the radon detector canister today i commented what the termite guy said, he got all flushed and started in on "well, there may be no signs of them now, but in 5 or 10 years they may be back…" i was like "5 or 10 years from now is not my problem, baby. that's up to the buyers, since they'll have been here 5 or 10 years by that time." (he got a blubbery and flushed in the face and kind of stormed out). not to mention he traipsed basement dirt all over my floors even though i have a carpet for wiping feet after returning from the basement's depths. he also WAY overcharged the buyers..glad he wasnt our inspector.
in other news:
i got my prescription for clomid, and i'm going to start on the fertility process after we're moved (ides of march).
my ip is blocked AGAIN from ncenet, i'm getting a little irritated, as this time it wasnt a webcam..i had a whole week of access, and now i cant get back in.
grr.
no electricity
no heat
no water (fear of frozen pipes)
no way to cook food (electric range)
no way to pay off my credit card bill at the moment…thanks to no money because of the situation.

my <a href="http://non-commercial-elysse.net>site</a> is still blocking me…im getting pretty agitated, but i cant afford to move it at the current moment…but then again, i cant get in, either, even to check my mail, so if the host sent me an email to ncenet's address, i'd ever know what they said (actually, that's not entirely true, i can access it when i ssh into another machine with a different ip than my household…..)..part of me says to get irritated and bite off heads, the other part says to wait, since im moving in a month or so, my dsl provider will probably assign my new house a different ip….of course, that means i wont be able to update for a month or more, and i have many new images to put up.

in other news: i have an adapter for my (G3 sister-carded) 8500PPC to use a vga monitor on the way, so better media capabilities to come.. ("8500?" you say? "where's you dig up that old fossil?" i collect legacy macs, so there…it rocks, thanks to xrew), and i will be able to make my 5400PPC a kitchen appliance when we move..it will be a recipe database, while the 8500 will be for image processing on ncenet…woo!

but that doesnt make me any less pissed about ncenet.
we just signed a contract on our house….the people involved are very cool, reminds me of us 3 years ago…they were so excited. we plan to move on the weekend of the 15th of march.
